 Senior Leak Seal Technician

Meets the level of a senior leak repair technician and has a high degree of experience with all disciplines outlined in roles and responsibilities..

Environment conditions: Working with live active leaks in tough environments in tight areas and at heights. Working under SABA or SCBA.

Duties and responsibilities: High level of understanding of leak repair, pipe freezing, composite wrap installations and pipe crimping procedures.

Proficient with measuring piping systems and components. Candidate will be required to travel and be out of town for periods of time.

Communication: Able to clearly communicate with fellow workers, customers, engineering and supervision.

Candidate must be safety conscience  able to complete Job hazard analysis, job specific safe work plan and field level risk assessments.

Strong organizational and problem solving

Physically fit.

Provide a drivers abstract.

OPTIONAL* Persons that have worked in pipe trades or are mechanically inclined will be considered at a entry level with intention to move the individual through the training as quickly as permitted.

 

 

 Pipefitters

 Read and interpret blue prints or welding process specifications;

Follow directions given in layouts, drawings and work orders;

Welding of various heavy equipment attachments and components utilizing MCAW and FCAW;

Use of overhead cranes;

Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times;

Ensures workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers;

Active participation in the OH&S safety program, ensuring that workplace safety exists at all time;

Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of related experience in the pressure welding is essential to this position;

Experience in F3-F4/F5-6/0CWB would be an asset;

Welders

Read, follow, and translate blueprints, fabrication drawings, specifications and other instructions.

Weld, fabricate and fit pressure vessels and piping parts with proper equipment while meeting compliancy with industry standard ASME codes, Company’s Welding Procedure Specifications and Quality Control Manual

Monitor, record and report any discrepancies and issues with parts including but not limited to malfunctions or defects to the Supervisor.

Maintain a high standard of workmanship with high-level quality and accuracy.

Performs all other duties as required in a safe manner as per Supervisor instructions.

 

Qualifications:

5+ year experience in oil & gas field service, or related industries

Ability to work independently.

Collaboration with operation team / QC Department

Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and standards

Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.

Valid CWB certification for structural steel is considered an asset.

Journeyman or equivalent will be considered; however, C Pressure ticket must be acquired once the position begins.

Possession of B Pressure Welding Ticket preferred

Excellent communication skills – reading, understanding and interpreting.

Proven ability to weld by operating equipment using expected industry processes such as SMAW, SAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW

Forklift Operators

Understand and adhere to MTI Safety Management System, policies, procedures and values

Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies/procedures

Provide manual labour services as and when required

Snow & Ice removal if required

Ensure all equipment is safely and securely stored;

Maintain daily records and reports as required;

Industrial setting, working under permit experience preferred

Work well with others in a team atmosphere;

Able to accept change in priorities in a fast-paced environment;

Other duties as required by supervisor/manager.

 

Qualifications – Minimum Site Requirements (Required for site pre-access):

  • OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO)
  • WHIMIS 2015
  • Valid Driver License (Class 5, 4, or 2 License without any restrictions)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Heavy Commercial, Industrial or Oil Gas sector
  • H2S Alive an asset
  • Maintenance experience would be an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain clearance of a Pre-access Alcohol & Drug Screening test

 

Equipment certification and experience in one (or more) of the following:

  • Skid Steer
  • Forklift
  • Front End Loader
  • Zoom boom
  • Telehandler

 

Other tickets/certification may be required or an asset

 

  • OSSA* – Fall Protection
  • OSSA* – Confined Space Monitoring
  • OSSA* – Fire Watch Training
  • H2S Alive
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment
  • Air Purifying Respirator
  • Gas Detection
  • Class 1 or 3

 

Mechanically Inclined Personnel

Multi-Task Industrial is currently seeking skilled individuals where preference will be given to the applicants with the following tickets:

  • ESC Ariel work platform
  • APR/Scott Air
  • Forklift / Zoom boom/ Skid Steer
  • H2S Alive

This position will include membership in Local 92 Construction & General Union based in Edmonton Alberta, working on sites across Alberta.
